army of broken toys

On March 11th I'll be at Cafe 939 drawing Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys and the Bunny Collaborative on stage!

I haven't drawn at a show in a very long time and even then I only did portraits of the audience, but this time I'll be drawing the band as they preform! It's a sold out show already because the Army of Broken Toys is the bomb, so those of you who scored tickets- prepare yourselves for the ultimate 'artsperience.'

Zoe Keating / Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys on Friday, March 11, 2011, 8:00 p.m. @ Cafe 939.

Zoë Keating is a one-woman orchestra. She uses a cello and a foot-controlled laptop to record layer upon layer of cello, to create lush, beautiful and otherworldly music. Increasingly considered a role model for DIY artists, her self-released albums have sold over 35,000 copies and her latest album, Into the Trees, spent 14 weeks on the Billboard classical charts.

Boston Music Award 2010 Live Artist of the Year nominee Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys bring their musically sophisticated Dada-esque circus carnival run amuck to the Red Room.
Admission: $12/GA
