We have been snowed in after the holiday in the northeast! Sunday, I went out into the fray to play some video games with Chris and then to soak up some reality tv and grilled cheese with Caroline. I got this lovely winter coat that is both warm and practical. It has served me well in this onslaught of winter weather.

I finally finished my Deer Hood House Hat. I gave one to my friend Caroline because she is always cold in her house and made one for me. I'm modeling it above in a strange pose. :) Lucy models it below...

Each DHX3 is made of fleece, fur and felt. I got the idea from a photo of a doll sized deer hood someone made. It took me roughly four hours to complete both hoods with scarfs. They are lined with a cute woodland print and are suuuuper warm. Just in time for Boston's first snow!

OOOOOO! Karen has informed me my work was used for the Etsy article, Etsy Success Reading List: Naughty Edition. That's rad!

I just got back from the Stars and Skulls Crafty Craft Fair. I love this show to the bone. There are so many nice vendors, the patrons are so pleasant and supportive and lots of W.Mass friends came out to see us. Childhood friend Karen Ducey who makes amazing wallets, jewelry, cards and buttons was my table neighbor again this year! w00t! Can't wait for next year's!

Gonna be there tomorrow!!!

I had an excellent time at Holiday Handjobs last night! I sold a ton of prints and did a lot of portraits! W00T! Tomorrow I will be in Hadley, Ma at the American Legion for The Stars and Skulls Crafty Craft Fair!

I won't be giving hand jobs, but I will be drawing portraits at Holiday Handjobs this Friday from 7 to 11pm at the Dillboy VFW in Cambridge! Check out the FB event page!

My hand is a bit cramped from furiously penciling 24 pages of storyboards this week for my friends' horror film. Harold made a board-nest.

I forgot to mention My zine Southpaw volume 2 a comic of mine were featured on mygirlthursday.com last week in her zine extravaganza. Storyboard hell is over now and I can focus on churning out some fun new stickers, buttons, prints and earrings for the two holiday shows I have next week!

Here is a list of upcoming craft shows I will be at selling my delights and drawing custom portraits for the masses:

December 4: GINGERBREAD STATION @ First Baptist Church on 633 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, MA (10am-3pm)

December 10: HOLIDAY HANDMADEJOBS @ Dilboy VFW on 371 Summer Street Davis Square in Somerville, MA (7pm-11pm)

December 12: STARS & SKULLS CRAFTY CRAFT FAIR @ the American Legion in Hadley, MA (10am-4pm)

Here are some portraits from the SOCKHOP at the 119 Gallery in Lowell. We had a great time!

It's been a busy week at my dayjob and with Thanksgiving. I have a few shows coming up and projects to be done, which will hopefully find themselves posted on here real soon.

I've been working on a secret comic for a secret blog that will be coming to light in a few weeks. I have a handful of projects on my plate pertaining to bands and horror films as well as my own personal project. BUSY BUSY BUSY. Here is a long over due scan of my Scream Queen from Rock and Shock 2010.

We had a table at Synapse Fest II at the Raven in Worcester on Saturday. It was an excellent time and all the bands were exceptional. Performances enjoyed included Gone Bad and the excellent NYC based Japanese band UZUHI. The lovely Tsubasa commissioned me to draw the band and her cute bunny and band mascot Peach as individual buttons to give to her band mates. They all likes them so much, Katsuragi commissioned two more of himself and his girlfriend! They were so nice and put on a great show! They traded the hand drawn buttons for a CD, which is now cycling on my ipod. うずひ ありがとうございます!

Concept art for my Science Project Gone Wrong sketchbook for the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project. I'm going to make it into a comic. I'm contemplating how I'm going to do that since the pages of the books are a bit thin for my inks. I'll probably be pasting into the book. I need to get myself a good haul of my favorite pens for this.

I'll be at Synapse Fest this weekend in Worcester, MA. Stop by my table and say 'hello!'

Rabbits and Bunnies, OH MY!
showcases my VERY LAST COPY of the Vampire Bunny Brigade. After this sells, I will not be printing anymore singular editions. I am working on a small collection of cute horror tales for next year. Who will snatch up the last copy?

I received my sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project. My theme is Science Project Gone Wrong. I'll be posting updates on my progress!

In other news, I've been accepted to the Stars and Skulls Crafty Craft Fair 2010 and tragically wait-listed for the Anime Boston Artist Alley. Please post more efficient sign up process suggestions at the AB Forums. Apparently, there's a long wait list and no one has responded with my position on it, so prospects are bleak. Perhaps you want to share your space?

Fantastic and long-time friend Chris Newell brought over a Cannon EOS 7D today to take some product photos. It was overcast and generally abysmal, but the photos came out pretty good. I'm uploading more new prints, earrings and buttons this week! Here are the newest Squiddy earrings.

"Cenobabies" is up as a print and was included in this Who Wants to Die Etsy Treasury!

I had an awesome time at Rock and Shock 2010! This was my first horror themed convention and my work was right at home. Lots of people got prints and I drew a few monster portraits. I also made up some fan pictures for Julian Sands and Doug Bradley, both of who were excited to receive some art! I present George Romero with my "NOMS" original, which he suggested I turn into a comic, which I have been planning! My usual convention posse was in attendance as well as my cousin Sonja, all the way from the lovely, green land of Burlington, Vermont. I can't wait for next year!
