Queen City Kamikaze

sounds like: "Good Day" Dresden Dolls

Queen City Kamikaze in Manchester, NH was our first convention of the year and also our first convention in New Hampshire! Generally, we don't get started until April, so this little con was a wonderful bonus in a unusually mild, but still dark winter! :) Also check out that new stand we picked up at a thrift store! Nessie in style!

This last one is of a Spike cosplay. After I greeted him with a "Hi Spike!" the kid who got this one done commented that I was the first to recognize what his costume was from: "I wasn't even born yet when it came out." Eep! I was in Higschool.

Thanks to all who stopped by! Tag yourself on Facebook if you got your portrait done!

commisssssssions

Should any of you have wondered where my artwork has been for the past month... This is where! I did a ton of commissioned portraits! This one was in the waiting the longest. I was commissioned by a lovely Miss Nina Pitocco to draw her in commune with my dirty secrets ghosts on piles of books because she loves to read! She also just joined Deviant Art for her photography, so add her to your watch! And there were more... lots more...

Miss Tiffany Jones commissioned me for three portraits of family! *0*

A wedding present for my lovely, long-time friend Matthew Schewel and his new wife.

And these quick cuties for a local fan and a California fan!

I'm closing commissions this month so I can catch up on some personal drawing and then there's all that boring business work that freelancing/online selling involves. No worries though, I'll be drawing for you again soon!

Speaking of which, I should also note that I will be vending and drawing at Boston Comicon this April and a small Knights of Columbus craft show in Salem in May. Check my "upcoming" on the right --->

megafest

We were at SuperMegaFest this weekend at the crazy tudor Sheraton in Framingham. Blake met Patrick Stewart, I had awkward encounter with Sam Tramell of True Blood, and drew portraits and commissions in between! Thanks to all who stopped by our weirdly placed hallway booth!

These two commissions above were for adorably sweet Ava of Fanzpo.

Pfft! Look at that Trekkie! :)

Rock & Shock

Rock and Shock rocked our pants off! We had so much fun this year and met so many great people. Our booth was looking quite nice as well this year with our addition of an extra table and twice as much merchandise! I drew a slew of gorey portraits and a few cute commissions. We can't wait for next year!

Rock & Shock

Are you ready for Rock & Shock? I am! We're going to have bats, graves, nessies, hairbows, hair pins, t-shirts, custom art, orginal art, prints of art, zines and more jewelry that you can shake a machete at! Oh, and you can get this lovely Never Sleep Again print before it goes up in my Etsy store and get it signed by Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp!

never sleep again

I'm preparing for Rock and Shock! Never gonna sleep again!!!
Chris, Blake and I have successfully completed the entire Nightmare on Elm Street movie series (well Chris has watched them all a zillion times) in preparation of this years festivities as the guests of honor feature Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp. I wanted to do a Nightmare themed drawing for the convention... this is the scene I picked. Other contenders were Freddy licking Nancy over the phone and Freddy wearing Ray Bans. It's coming along nicely... but not complete yet.

Had a great time at the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo this past weekend with Shaanti Williams of Whut Good?. I made two new zines for the expo which will be up later this week on Etsy. Special thanks to all the lovely darlings that came out to see us!

connecticon

This past weekend of extreme nerdism was at Connecticon in Hartford, Connecticut and marked my third year as a vendor (and fourth year as an attendee!). Naturally fun was to be had all around. Portraits, sketchbook passing, ADD conversations with friends and customers- A pleasant end to this summers Con Crazy tour! Thanks to all those who stopped by and said "Hello," got drawn or drew for me... If only Connecticon 2012 wasn't 12 months away...

More convention portrait photos here...

My artwork was used for the press badge! <3
