HAPPY LOST FINALE! I'm sad and excited for the final episode. It's inevitable that I'll join the masses in a Lost post partum- clutching at my other tv show dvds (long forgotten) to fill the void and pining for the rumble of the smoke monster... In celebration of this event, I made a little zine (the Locke above is a sampling of it's delights) which I'll be selling at the Maine Comic Arts Festival today and in my online shop tomorrow.
sounds like: "missy model x 1000" dan deacon I want to take a minute to acknowledge this amazing juxtaposition of music on my playlist: An excellent co-worker gave me the new Sade and I've been passively obsessing over Dan Deacon for months, only recently has my hunger for digital chirps become insatiable. "Crystal Cat" is by far my favorite music video right now.
I did some story boards and character design for Bebe Buell's new animated music video (which I will finally be posting some designs I did in a little bit). It is directed and animated by the Nerdy Duo. Bebe Buell - Air Kisses To The Masses
My friend Nick finished editing our horror film project from Film III in art school that we shot five years ago! It's pretty priceless. Our class had a lot of fun shooting this project. I did storyboards and documented and helped with shooting. I also was Denise's assistant and cleaned her up after the puke scene. We shot this film on 16mm film with an Arriflex camera in 2004... oh and Bacon King Bacon is the best.

This past weekend has been ladened with illness and all I've done is adorn the bed in my bathrobe and watch Dollar Store Sonny Chiba dubs. Today, I am feeling much better and have gotten a lot of stuff done- including animating a really simple ten second short. hahaha. It's the first thing I've done in while. I used the free animation program Pencil to animate it.

I just finished this music video--- FINALLY! It took me about two months from shooting to titles. I finished last night.
My boyfriend had been producing Curious Buddies' new album over the summer, but this song didn't catch my ear until he was mixing it one day. I became obsessed. I must have listened to it a hundred times before I finally asked Steve (the most curious buddy) if I could make the video for him. He sent me back an overwhelming YES. The next time he was in town to listen to the master mix, I shot some quick takes of him singing. None of my original ideas for the video actually materialized, but I still think it came out swimmingly.

A few months ago I was contacted by Sem of the indie rock band, BenSem, to make an alternate video for their new single, "Sunshine". It's an alternate because there already is a video made of personal footage and tour clips. However, the band thought my work was neat and that an alternative animated video would be cool.
I asked Sem to shoot footage of himself and e-mail me a copy of the video. The band is based in Pontypridd, South Wales and naturally couldn't make it to my little Western Massachusetts farm house. Then I shot footage from the window of my car with my crusty old Nikon Coolpix L3. I took pictures exiting Boston on 93 North all the way up until entering Concord, New Hampshire. I shot the wobbly hills of Oak Hill Road a few days later after a hike up to the fire tower with my sister and blake (I took more footage there too). I also shot a week later around Holyoke, Easthampton and Northampton-- a lot of footage is on Mt. Tom!
BenSem's album, Western Lights, comes out in February.

I got my hands on Ringo's newest release 『私と放電』(Me and Electric Discharge)- her b-sides and rarities compilation. Highly recommended, specially for the track "SIGMA." There's a good alternative version of the track "Confusion" which came as a b-side on the 『この世の限』り single. I like the original recording for it's heighten drama, but Ringo has so many good variations of her songs. I can't get enough of this song.
